Dry January doesn’t have to mean drab January.

Are you partaking in Dry January and wishing for new, fun drinks? Or maybe you are living sober and wanting to gain non-alcoholic mixology skills. Or you might be interested in new techniques to take home to your liquor cabinet.

Then this workshop is for you! Before joining Current Wellness, Lukman Awad managed a craft cocktail bar in quaint Asheville, NC, where he bartended and filled the rotating menu with original recipes.

What you can expect:
🍹 The base of this mocktail class will focus on oleo saccharums and the process of osmotic extraction. Sounds complicated and science-y? No need to be intimidated! By the end of the workshop you will feel confident replicating the technique at home!

🍋 What is an Oleo Saccharum? An oleo saccharum is a versatile and flavorful ingredient made by extracting fruit oils, usually from citrus peels, through maceration in sugar. The end result is a vibrant and aromatic elixir.

🥂 In this class you will have the chance to feel like a bartender! Under the guidance of a mixologist, you will make a few unconventional non-alcoholic cocktail recipes using oleo saccharums. Blending creative flavors and new techniques, we will concoct (and drink!) delicious beverages that will elevate your Dry January (and the other 11 months!).

Taking it home:
At the end of the class, take home your own homemade oleo saccharum with flavors that you pick out. Impress friends and family with your newfound expertise and create unique, tasty cocktails, with or without the alcohol.

Whether you’re a seasoned mixologist or an enthusiastic beginner, “Beyond Juice: New Mixology Techniques for Dry January and More” promises an immersive experience filled with learning, experimentation, and the joy of crafting delightful drinks.
