We’re back for Part 3 of the Ballet for Beginners Workshop Series! (No previous experience required).

In Part 1, we were introduced to pliés and tendus. In Part 2, we built on those foundations with a whole new set of ballet positions and movements and, of course, a whole new playlist.

Now, in Part 3, we’re taking those foundations and getting a little more playful.

We’ll learn a brand-new set of choreography and movements while exploring how the exact same choreography can feel completely different depending on the music behind it. We’ll play with how changes in music can shift our energy, movement quality, and the emotions we bring into a dance.

You’ll have the opportunity to move beyond simply learning the steps and start exploring how you want the dance to feel.

And because all that dancing works up an appetite… we’ll be fed!

After dancing, Nathan will be serving up jok, a cozy Thai rice porridge that is basically a warm hug in a bowl. Come dance, play, explore, and then stay for some good food and good company.

Haven’t taken Parts 1 or 2? No worries! They are not required to join us for Part 3. That said, having some familiarity with pliés, tendus, and basic ballet positions will be helpful.

If it’s been a minute since you’ve practiced those foundations, reach out! I’d be happy to work with you on a private lesson to catch you up on Part 1 before the workshop.

Come ready to learn, play, feel, and eat.
