An introduction to ballet with good food, connection, and reflection :star:
This workshop is designed for adults who are curious about ballet—whether you’re brand new to it or have a complicated history you’re ready to revisit and reimagine. Christina began ballet at the age of three, and while the form has been a lifelong outlet, she now offers it through a trauma-informed, inclusive lens. This space welcomes all abilities, bodies, and backgrounds.
Part 1 features the same curriculum and playlist offered in our February workshop, giving participants another opportunity to experience this foundational workshop. Part 1 is designed to be beginner friendly, no dance prior dance experience needed, and serves as a strong base for Part 2 (coming up on June 7th!). You’re welcome to take Part 1 as many times as you’d like.
Join Christina for an afternoon of intentional movement, guided reflection, and meaningful connection followed by delicious food prepared by Lindsey Darkes. Menu coming soon!
We’ll begin by getting to know one another through introductions and a guided journal reflection. From there, we’ll explore the foundational elements of ballet: focusing on foot, arm, leg, and head positioning in an accessible and supportive way. After additional reflection time, we’ll move across the floor and learn a small, playful routine. We’ll close the afternoon by slowing down together and debriefing over a shared meal.
Cost: Sliding scale $75–$95
