Details
Join Imurj in celebrating the opening of their March main gallery exhibit, ARTNIGHT. ARTNIGHT is a local arts collaborative that creates unique, method-focused artwork. This gallery takes a step back from viewing art as a product, to observe the process of art creation in a collaborative, free-form environment. Each work this group creates is one of a kind, marked by at least 3-4 artists.
At this First Friday reception, they will have a live demonstration on collaborative art making by ARTNIGHT, live music by Savage, henna and body art by Eli Flo Art and a full bar. This event is free and open to the public.
About ARTNIGHT
ARTNIGHT is a supportive community of artists that is empowered to create, collaborate, and display adventurous art in the city of Raleigh. Their core values lie in collaboration, kindness, support for the arts, and community.
Collaboration is key: Raleigh Art Night celebrates the many ways the artists can connect, share, and work together on art projects. Above all, they value projects that synergize the aesthetics of multiple artists.
Kindness to others: They are supportive of one another as people and artists. They are welcoming to all regardless of age, cultural heritage, religious background, sexual orientation, or gender identification.
Appreciative of supportive institutions: They show respect for institutions that support us with efforts to be honorable, organized, communicative, and oberservant of rules and culture.
Community over the individual: Group contribution should be for the benefit of the community rather than for personal promotion or financial gain.
Not-for-profit mentality: All funds collected by the group will be used to further our mission or donated to an organization with a similar mission.
