The American Self-Taught genre, also called Outsider Art and Folk Art, is an intuitive, almost childlike form of expression. The artists are driven by an inborn need to create: they express their remembrances of the past, their religion, their patriotism, and their love of the land.

Join us for the opening reception on Friday, August 2, from 6-8pm!
Featuring Special Guest Roger Manley,
Museum Director, Folklorist, Curator, Writer, Filmmaker.
